1961 Seniors

Joe DiCara is stopped short of paydirt, one of the few times a Monarch was stopped that night.

Kewley takes off on one of his many excursions against Dunkirk.

A group of seniors   from Mindszenty visited Mayor Steger at his office last fall.  Left to right:  Thomas Persch, Carol Kokocinski, Norman Hitzges, Mayor Joseph Steger, Marion Ward, and Frederick Schrantz.

Pictured here are the compilers of a list of English words and their Latin derivations which was printed at Eastertime.  Seated:  K. Polowy, C. Kokocinski, S. Ryby, M. Hurley, K. Lagano, B. Michalak.  Standing:  R. Stolinski, R. Prechtl, C. Bialaszewski, P. Kroll, J. Jozwiak, J. Chudzinski.  Absent from the picture is Roger Orcutt.

It took our editor-in-chief to win the first prize for the boys in the yearbook drive.  THE WALT'S SPORTING GOODS STORE generously donated a twenty-five dollar gift certificate to Fred Schrantz.  Mr. Wallace Bailey willingly helped Fred try on a jacket.

Miss Jayne of the JAYNE DRESS SHOP on Central Avenue happily presented a certificate of twenty-five dollars to Patricia Cwinklinski.  This was the second year that Pat topped the whole student body in securing patrons.  When Pat receives her diploma in June it should carry an extra star for her effort in making yearbooks possible.
